A sunny Saturday saw league leaders, Nant Conwy, take on third places Bethesda. Straight from the kick-off, Nant made their attacking intentions known, showing their willingness to run the ball from every opportunity. This attacking play was rewarded within five minutes. A break from full-back, Sion Pringle, saw him stopped short of the line, but several quick rucks finished with centre, Derwyn Jones, forcing his way over for the try.

This was followed five minutes later by a second try, which saw number 8, Sam Duncalfe, breaking down the blind-side, pushing off a number of would-be tacklers, before touching down. The conversions by Caron Davies gave Nant a 14 - 0 lead.

Nant continued with their running game and were further rewarded mid-way through the half when Pringle again joined the line to go over for try number three.

This seemed to galvanise Bethesda who began to come more into the game. A series of penalties allowed the visitors to establish their first serious attacks. One such penalty near Nant's line was taken quickly and lack of awareness allowed Ioan Roberts to stroll over for the unconverted try.

Nant were immediately back in Bethesda's half. From a line-out in the Bethesda 22, Siencyn Metcalfe gathered the throw to go over for the bonus point try. The conversion by Davies gave Nant a half-time lead of 26 - 5.

The second half saw Nant back on the attack and a fifth try soon followed when Pringle went over under the posts. Bethesda pulled one back through David Florence following a rolling maul but 33 - 12 was as close as they got to Nant.

With Nant using their replacements and running everything, opportunities were coming along on a regular basis. Though some moves broke down, others resulted in a further four tries, with Pringle adding two more and one each for Carwyn Davies and Deian Roberts. Three further conversions by Derwyn Jones, gave a final scoreline of 59 - 12.
